Allegro Performing Arts Academy is celebrating it 15th Anniversary in 2011! We pride ourselves on offering a wide variety of training in the performing arts for all ages and levels. Allegro has recently received the honor of “#1 dance studio in the NW and Top 25 studios in the nation!” Allegro has three yearly performances for their students: December, January and June. Allegro will also perform in the community, and loves to participate in philanthropic projects as well.
Erwilian is an instrumental group that gathers folk music from all eras, medieval to contemporary, to perform on hammered dulcimer, recorders, guitars, mandolin, violin, and percussion. These five South King County music enthusiasts have been featured locally in theaters and other venues, defining their own style of powerful acoustic performances. Great Western Community Concert Association is dedicated to bringing high quality “vintage” music to the area at affordable prices. We provide discounted tickets for low-income seniors and subsidized tickets for the developmentally disabled.
The Greater Kent Historical Society operates the Kent Historical Museum, which is located in the Bereiter House in downtown Kent. Built in 1908, the historic home is furnished with period furniture and exhibits of local artifacts. Garden artwork commemorates the local Japanese American Community, and the Blue Star Memorial By-Way remembers Veterans of America’s Armed Forces.
The Spotlight Series features performances by regional, national and international touring artists in a variety of genres. The schedule features 15 performances on three stages. The Summer Concert Series presents live, FREE! performances in Kent’s beautiful parks. Performances for kids are held Wednesdays and Thursdays. Music for adults and families is featured on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The Kent School District services students from Kent, Covington, Black Diamond, and Renton. With 40 schools there are various concerts, theatrical productions and presentations throughout the year.
Northwest Renaissance Poets is a non-profit organization supporting the teaching, writing, performing and publishing of poetry within the Pacific Northwest.

Rainier Chorale is an 80 voice community chorus based in Kent. Under the direction of Ron Bayer we are entering our 25th season of celebrating good music.
RYC offers an exceptional and affordable children’s and youth choir music education and performance program for boys and girls. Chorus levels available for singers grades 4 through college.
SKCGS stimulates interest in genealogy and aids individuals in compiling their family records; seek genealogical and historical knowledge; preserves and perpetuates records of ancestors and promotes preservation of public and private genealogical materials.
South King County Music Teachers Association is affiliated with Music Teachers National Association, as well as Washington State Music Teachers Association. For the most part, members are independent studio music teachers with expertise in various instruments and voice. Our vision is to advance the value of music study and music making in society and to support the professionalism of music teachers.
