One of the finest community orchestras on the West Coast, Rainer Symphony reaches over 5,000 people a year with a broad range of music from the classical and pops repertoire. Diverse membership includes teachers, physicians, engineers, business professionals, longshoremen, and students who share a love of music and their community.
The five-member City of Tukwila Arts Commission encourages and aids programs for the cultural enrichment of the Tukwila community. Sponsored programs include the Commission’s Annual Art Show & Competition and support of the Community Actors’ Summer Theater in Tukwila (C.A.S.T.T.). The Commission is empowered to advise and recommend public art purchases to the Mayor and City Council.
The Equity & Diversity Commission of Tukwila is a partnership between the City of Tukwila & the Tukwila School District working together to promote cultural diversity programs and activities.
We preserve the cultural, architectural, geological and historical heritage of Tukwila through preservation of photographs, documents, oral histories, buildings, and natural resources.
