This is your chance to take part in a cultural phenomenon! Hair is the American Tribal Love-Rock musical that follows a young group of hippies fighting the establishment, dodging the drafts, getting high, and living and loving in “The Age of Aquarius.” Book and Lyrics by Gerome Ragni and James Rado. Music by Galt Macdermot.

Specific roles needed: Claude, Berger, Crissy and two Tribe members

Claude (Rock Baritone/Tenor, nudity a posibility) The most beautiful beast in the forest. Smart, attractive male, with a playful side; a lover of life and the picture of a young man next door of the 60’s. Strong actor. Berger’s best friend, recently drafted whose only valuable possession, other than his freedom, is his hair

George Berger (Rock Baritone/Tenor, nudity a posibility) A social activist. An unrestrained animal. He knows what is right and sticks to it no matter the consequence. The leader of the tribe. High energy, athletic, wild. Strong presence and, though he may be a young man, he is looked up to.

Crissy (Mezzo, nudity a posibility) a flower child mourning a lost love – The youngest female of the tribe.

SHOW DATES:  June 10 – 25, 2022 Thursday – Sunday 10 performances

You must have an appointment to audition – make an appointment with Valerie Reid at valerieilreid@gmail.com.  Please specify which role(s) you would like to audition for and audition pieces will be given accordingly. Please prepare the sides given, you do not need to be off book. Accompanist will be provided. Be prepared for modifications and adjustments to be given in the room since we are not having callbacks. Bring your headshot and current resume with you to the auditions. Please also bring a list of conflicts with you to the auditions for the audition form.

The auditions will be held at Renton Civic Theatre, 507 S Third Street in Renton, on Saturday, January 15, 11 AM – 3 PM.
