Highline Heritage Museum

This “Black Lives Matter in American History Exhibit” is comprised of photographs, the timeline spanning several centuries, statements, poetry, signage, cultural materials, sculpture and paintings, textiles and so much more.

The his large walking exhibit is displayed in 11 window fronts around Burien. It is based on a detailed timeline of Black History in America, researched and compiled by Nancy Salguero McKay, Director of the Highline Heritage Museum. The walking route starts at the Maverick Apartments (northwest corner), then continues at Merrill Gardens (south and east windows) and finishes at the Museum (north window).
