Call for Artists – West Duwamish Wet Weather Storage Facility

King County Wastewater Treatment Division and 4Culture
Deadline: 12/8/2022, 4 PM

King County’s Wastewater Treatment Division, in partnership with 4Culture, will commission two artists or artist-led teams (with $40,000 budget each) to create intrigue and stimulate curiosity, raise awareness, and foster an emotional connection to the largely invisible Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) system.

This call for artists is connected to the West Duwamish Wet Weather Storage Facility.  The project is now in design phase, and it is located near the 1st Avenue South Bridge.

This Call for Artists is open only for artists living in King County. The artists selected for this project will have the opportunity to create meaningful artwork that engages issues of social, economic, and environmental relevance.

There will be a recorded information session at noon on November 9. You can register at the 4Culture link below under the “helping you succeed” topic. For more information, visit West Duwamish Wet Weather Storage Facility – 4Culture.
