Join the library in learning more about the history of slavery and its impact in the United States through the New York Times 1619 Project. The “1619” audio series is part of the New York Times’ initiative observing the 400th anniversary of the beginning of American slavery. Podcast runs 30-40 minutes, and a moderated discussion will follow. We will have snacks, activities and visuals to keep you occupied while you listen. Sponsored by Friends of Renton Libraries. For teens and adults. This series extends over three Mondays – feel free to attend one or all sessions.
