An adventure can take form in many different lenses, whether it is in the world of travel, sports, photography, culinary arts, nature, and relationships. The Auburn Adventure Film Festival is designed to showcase perspectives that will engage the audience by letting them be a part of the adventure.
Aquatic Ascent | 1:00-2:30 PM
Water is one of the last explored regions of our planet and a dwindling, vital source for our survival. Witness how these filmmakers took on the world of water. Single block ticket: $10
Surviving the Middle – Follow the passion filled, inspiring journey of a young Canadian team who embark on one of the most demanding ocean races in the world. On their sailboat they face incredible forces of nature and push themselves to the limit physically and mentally.
Nordurland – Three friends go surfing in the harsh, cold waters of the North Atlantic. Traveling to isolated, snow covered coastlines offers a personal reflection on the trip and a real glimpse into the challenges and rewards of traveling such a rough journey.
Banking on Bailey – Ryan Bailey is a white-water kayaker, former wildland firefighter, and the unofficial Mayor Of Banks, Idaho. Learn about Banks Idaho and it’s importance to Kayaers along the journey to get know Ryan Bailey better.
Spinnaker Documentary – Spinnaker is a Marine Biologist and a rare example of how deeply she was able to entangle in the lives of today’s whales. Her story brings to light the many challenges of marine animals, including pollution and degradation that threaten to collapse the once-thought indestructible ocean systems.
One Breath Around the World – Go on an underwater odyssey with French apnea champion Guillaume Nery and his free driver wife Julie Gaurier. See mesmerizing images unseen by human inhabitants and learn that “when you like something you take care of it.”

Americans thrive on our ability to express our freedoms in many ways, including through visual storytelling. Join these filmmakers as they explore what freedom is and means in today’s complex world. Single block ticket: $10
Colter – Inspired by John Colter who pioneered much of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem including discovering ranges and natural phenomenon two hikers strke out. Adding their own perspective and style of advnenture, including freestyle and endurance skiing, they pass through Colter’s trek.
Hostage – “The T-shirt Soldiers” a tribute to the fallen ones. Based on the events that occurred during the 2017 protests in Venezuela.
Fissure – Swiss Didier Berthis one of the best world crack’s cllimber in the early 2000’s decided to become a Priest.
Out on a Limb – Follow three wheelchair bound explorers who embark on a mission to conquer the Swiss Alps. Proving that having a diability won’t tame their sense of adventure.
Between Wind and Water – After a life-changing event, a former British Paratrooper finds peace in a small Canadian mountain town. Experience the life of a BASE Jumper in Squamish, B.C. and get a first-hand look at what it takes to jump off a mountain.
Tiny Ants – Samara, a young Munduruku in the Amazon River Basin attemtps to befriend Maria. She later realizes that Maria is working on a damn that will destory her home.
