Bookmarks & Landmarks Jr. – Boston Jane – White River Valley Museum

February 10 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Free

Read the book, then come discuss it where history comes to life!

The Book: Boston Jane by Jennifer L. Holm
In the 1850s, Jane makes the long journey from Philadelphia to Seattle thinking she will marry a wonderful man there and be a proper lady. But she finds the skills she has practiced, like serving tea and walking gracefully, don’t really apply on the rugged frontier.

The Landmark: White River Valley Museum
Boston Jane comes to life in the exhibits of the White River Valley Museum. Participate in hands-on activities that engage in the history of our area as well as themes from the book. Journey through the Museum on a scavenger hunt and explore a pioneer cabin, climb aboard a caboose, and the brave may even try on a historic corset!

Registration begins January 19, 10 AM – call the Auburn Library at 253-931-3018.  Please place a copy of the book on hold through your KCLS library.

For ages 10 and older.
