Bookmarks & Landmarks – The Challenge of a Latino Immigrant in the Trump Era

October 17 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Free

The struggles that different groups of Americans have undertaken in order to win the right to vote and participate in politics is the subject of three programs in this year’s annual Bookmarks & Landmarks series.

For this final program of the series, check out and read The Challenge of a Latino Immigrant in the Trump Era, by Univision news anchor Jorge Ramos. You can also view online content developed by the SeaMar Museum of Chicano/a/Latino/a Culture at https://seamarmuseum.squarespace.com/.

Then join the October 17 Zoom conversation about the book and with special guest appearances by SeaTac City Councilmember Senayet Negusse and Burien Mayor Jimmy Matta who themselves come from an immigrant background.

All Bookmarks & Landmarks programs are free, but advance registration is required via KCLS and will be open for sign-ups in mid-September.
