Bookmarks & Landmarks – The Egg and I – Maple Valley Historical Society

May 19 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free, but must register in advance

Read The Egg and I ahead of time: author Betty MacDonald relates the joys and frustrations of life on a poultry farm on the Olympic Peninsula.

Program: On May 19, come join the book discussion at the Maple Valley Historical Society’s Gibbon Store Museum. Maple Valley historian Dick Peacock will share tales of the area’s early days of logging and farming, along with the story of the role the Gibbon Store has played in the community–from general store/post office/barber shop, to abandoned and derelict building, and eventually to a resurrected reminder of years past.

Registration begins April 28 online at kcls.org or call the Maple Valley Library at 425-432-4620.
