Career Up – Expanding Your Practice and Community

September 7 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Free, but you must RSVP at https://bit.ly/2lXxZha

ARTISTS UP presents a new installment in its Career Up series of free, informal, moderated discussions by and for artists. This event will be held at the Nepantla Cultural Arts Gallery, an artist-owned and operated gallery, store, and community venue in White Center. Light refreshments will be served, and all are welcome!

Artists Raquel García Martínez and Eileen Jimenez, in conversation with Jake Prendez, the founder of the Nepantla Cultural Arts Gallery, will share their methods and personal paths building community and growing their practice.

Transportation: There is limited street parking available; however, we encourage public transportation. The gallery is accessible by Bus Lines 60, 113, 120, 128, and 560.

The venue is wheelchair accessible. For questions about accessibility or to request accommodations please contact HeatherDwyer at heather.dwyer at 4culture.org.

ARTISTS UP is a collaborative effort between 4Culture, the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture and ArtsWA.

Our work:

  • Improve and expand capacity,  networks, and opportunities for ALL artists in our region, with a specific focus on artists of color, artists with disabilities, artists from other countries or new to our area.
  • Raise awareness about artists’ needs, while developing and delivering programs, as individual and allied agencies, that work better for artists.
