First Day Paddle – Saltwater State Park
January 1, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pmFree
Swap your boots for a kayak or a stand-up paddleboard! Tour the boundaries of the Marine Protected Area while enjoying a view of Saltwater State Park from the water.
This First Day event is recommended for experienced paddlers. Cold water paddle sports carry strong risks but can provide beautiful views and prime wildlife watching opportunities. Participants must bring their own cold-water safety gear as well as watercraft.
Bring your human-powered watercraft in good repair, and proper safety gear. Difficulty: moderate to strenuous. For more information about preparing for paddling in cold water, check out this online information: https://parks.state.wa.us/832/Paddlesports
