Lloyd Herman – The Accidental Curator

May 28 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free with Museum admission.

In 1968, Lloyd Herman had a dream – to dedicate a building near the White House, being renovated by the Smithsonian, as a center for changing exhibitions on draft, design and the decorative arts. Herman became the founding director of the nation’s Craft museum, The Renwick Gallery, in January 1972.

Rescheduled from earlier this year, this program includes a film viewing and a conversation with Smithsonian Craft Show Honorary Chair Lloyd Herman.
