Plateau Area Writers Quarterly Meeting

Donald Hagen, featured speaker for this meeting, will be discussing his book The Brain Molder: Adventures of an Unconventional Teacher. How did a VW Bug wind up in his classroom? Could his history students get extra credit for building a working atom bomb? Were hazardous chemicals a part of his lesson plans? How were Julia Child’s’ Thanksgiving advice and theĀ  First Crusade connected.

Dan taught junior high and high school history in Auburn for 33 years. Tpday he and his wife Sue live in rural Kent, in a Queen Anne Victorian house they built themselves.

Also on this program PAWA President Don Sellers will lead an educational “Draft to Digital Publishing” moment, and author JoAnn Lakin Jackson will talk about the publication of her new children’s book, Adventures of a Wolfhound and the Leprechauns.
