The Center for Washington Cultural Traditions is a Humanities Washington program presented in partnership with ArtsWA/the Washington State Arts Commission. The Center will focus on surveying, studying, and supporting the living cultural heritage of Washington State.
Through both research and public programs, the Center will support traditional music, dance, and art; occupational traditions; culinary traditions; traditional knowledge and use of the natural environment; and much more. The Center aims to bring together diverse communities and support tradition bearers as they conserve and share their cultures.

The Center’s launch party will feature artistic demonstrations, musical performances, conversations with artists and others about their community’s cultural traditions, a traditional foods pot luck, and more!
