Position start date: 9/2019
The Project Feast board is recruiting a new Executive Director. Project Feast founder and current Executive Director Veena Prasad is stepping down to prioritize family matters.
The planned timing for a new Executive Director to start is September 2019. Veena is stepping down as ED after six and a half years of running this organization that she had founded with just a few thousand dollars. She built its signature culinary apprenticeship program from a pilot that offered refugee and immigrant cooks commercial kitchen training, which later evolved into the Ubuntu Street Café. Under Veena’s leadership, Project Feast has grown to an organization with a budget of a quarter of a million dollars and has impacted nearly 200 refugees and immigrants from all over the world. Having served 30,000 guests as well as customers such as the Gates Foundation, Seattle Foundation, and World Vision, Project Feast’s community programs and catered events have brought our area closer to immigrant and refugees than before. The excellent work of her team has been recognized by numerous awards as well as local and national media alike.
Project Feast is based in Kent. To learn more about this position and how to apply, visit the Project Feast jobs page.
