Facing the Inferno: The Wildfire Photography of Kari Greer features over 60 dramatic photographs taken by Kari Greer, a photographer for the National Interagency Fire Center based in Boise, ID. The drastic effects of wildfires are becoming more far-reaching as global warming extends the fire season nearly year-round. Smoke from wildfires has national impact and the fires themselves are devastating to wildlife and humans, as these stunning images demonstrate. University of Idaho’s Prichard Gallery organized this exhibit with the goal of helping propel a broader understanding and conversation of this volatile human-nature dynamic. The Renton History Museum is located at 235 Mill Avenue S in Renton.
