Friends of Saltwater State Park is an official State Parks Friends group in existence since 2016. Because Saltwater’s mixture of habitats; such as the amazing underwater marine park for adventurous scuba divers, large intertidal beach for beach explorers, salmon bearing stream that weaves through a wonderful urban forest with hiking trails. This 137-acre park features forested campsites along a bubbling creek, tide pools and a driftwood-strewn shore to explore, and an artificial underwater reef perfect for scuba diving.The park attracts a variety of patrons who enjoy the myriad nature activities the park providesSaltwater State Park delivers a sandy beach getaway only two miles from Interstate 5.
