South King County Genealogical Society
SKCGS partners with the King County Library System in Auburn by offering a Genealogy Help Desk (GenDesk) to assist library patrons with ancestor research. GenDesk is available monthly on the fourth Thursday from 11 am to 1 pm. We have materials to help anyone coming to the desk and we use our own genealogy research skills to show how to research and make progress on genealogy questions. And we are LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS to help with this project! If you would like to volunteer once a month, help others, and improve your own skills, let us know! Having a tablet or laptop to bring with you is valuable, but library computers are available to use as an alternative. We’d love to hear from you.
