White River Valley Museum
Now through 12/30/2022
How are you like your mother? In what ways do you wish you were not like your mother? Like Mother is an exhibit that explores these questions and more through the works of Northwest artists. Curated by local artist and cartist (art car creator) Kelly Lyles, this exhibit covers the good, the beautiful, the bad, and the heartbreaking relationships we have with our parents.
To augment the Like Mother exhibit, the Museum will explore the work of caring for your loved ones in its permanent exhibit galleries. Labor of Love is an audio tour that highlights artifacts with recordings from the Museum’s oral history collection. Listen to stories of everyday life and how people made do, or made more, through their devotion to their family and community.
The White River Valley Museum is located at 918 H Street SE, adjacent to Les Gove Park. It is open Wednesday through Sunday, Noon – 4 PM. Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted.
