Free, but please register in advance.

Mark your calendar! On the first Saturday of the month, come join us in tenaciously pulling ivy, and preventing it from taking over our Saltwater State Park! Bring gloves, wear sturdy shoes and dress in layers for the weather. We’ll provide tools, but you’re welcome to bring your favorite non-power tools. Please sign up ahead of time at friends.saltwater.statepark@gmail.com so that we will be sure to have enough tools on hand.

The Great Annual Fish Count (GAFC) is a Reef Environment Education Foundation (REEF) citizen science program for collecting marine data. It takes place the whole month of July. So plan your dives and get your surveys in. Greg Jensen, author of the new book, Beneath the Pacific Tides: Subtidal Invertebrates of the West Coast, will help folks attending this program learn how to tell some of the creatures of Puget Sound apart.
