Free, but you will need a state park parking pass to park in the lot.

Volunteer to help count and monitor salmon returning to McSorley Creek. It's an awesome fishy activity! Training provided by Trout Unlimited expert John Muramatsu. You will learn about salmon, how to identify the different salmon like coho and chum, and how to collect data on both living and dead salmon. Free – no advance registration. State Parks ‘free day’ – no Discover Pass required for parking.

The year’s shorter days naturally encourage life to slow down. Join Friends of Saltwater Park Naturalists as we explore how plants, animals, and people respond to this new cooler season of less daylight. We will go on an easy walk along the creek, share stories and enjoy a warming fire. Meet in the lower, back parking lot (near the salmon kiosk & restrooms). This is a family friendly activity!
