Burien Community Center
The Burien Arts Association is pleased to feature the works of Judith Rayl at the Burien Community Center through the month of April. Rayl’s semi-abstract photography explores fleeting connections between humanity, nature, and human-made objects. She is inspired by the universality and spontaneity of human beings, the immediacy of texture and movement, and the play of light on natural surfaces. She uses no enhancement, filters nor retouching in her photography, embracing the impermanence of each moment.
Rayl’s art explores themes of identity and evanescence, focusing on person-hood in motion without regard for age, race, ethnicity, and gender. The moment and it’s emotion are central. To capture a person, a mood, and the impermanence of light and movement are her goals. She aspires to offer an intimate, personal viewing experience and a moment of presence for the people viewing her art.
All the works on display at the Community Center are for sale. Please e-mail email@example.com for information on purchasing, or purchase via credit card at the artist’s reception on April 2, 6-7 PM.
This free exhibit is open Monday-Thursday, 8:30 AM 8 PM and Friday, 8:30 AM – 5 PM. The Burien Community Center is located at 14700 6th Ave SW, Burien.
