Saltwater Park Forest Restoration Project

Friends of Saltwater State Park
First Saturdays of every month, 10 AM – Noon

Join forces with a Friends of Saltwater group that gathers once a month to tackle the ivy in Saltwater State Park. The ivy is a major problem in the Park, smothering the trees, taking over the ground and not allowing native plants to grow. Native plants are vital for a healthy environment. This is a long-range project so work parties are scheduled for the first Saturday of every month to reclaim the Park’s forest.

No experience necessary – dress for the weather – tools, gloves and snacks are provided.

March 4 – April 1 – May 6 – June 3

Join the fun and make a difference! Please RSVP so we have enough tools and other supplies for your use: e-mail friends.saltwater.statepark@gmail.com or visit FriendsSaltwater.org and sign up under events.
