Seattle Universal Math Museum
This FREE series runs from March to October, 2023
Seattle Universal Math Museum (SUMM) is partnering with Zeno to implement a series of 20 program sessions with up to 50 families in 2023 for 21 fun math sessions. We will engage with parents/caregivers and kids, demonstrating playing with math with their children ages 3-10, and providing free take-away materials to continue the math learning experience at home. Each session will include circle time, a math moment for parents, math based play stations, giveaways and resources.
All costs for this program are sponsored by a grant from Science Sandbox, an initiative of the Simons Foundation, whose mission is to support efforts that enable people to reimagine and expand their relationship with science.
The sessions will be at Pine Tree Elementary School in Kent starting on March 4. Ninety-minute drop-in sessions run from 1-4 PM. To register, fill out this form.
We ask that participants commit to attending at least 80% of the program sessions. Prior to the first session, we will ask families to sign a release of liability, permission for use of likenesses, and to complete pre- and post-surveys to help us measure the effectiveness of our program. If you have any questions please contact education@seattlemathmuseum.org.
