All of Us (Population of Kent) – Blake Carter

Centennial Center Gallery
Dates: 4/3-5/17/2019

Blake Carter’s recent pieces feature hundreds and often thousands of small figure drawings. No two figures are exactly the same, but together they’re more similar than different, just like all of us. Inspired by Kent’s diverse and growing population, Carter created “All of Us (Population of Kent)” specifically for this show. The 3-by-5 foot drawing includes more than 130,000 tiny figures – one for every person who lives in Kent.
