In her watercolor paintings, Irina Kladova enjoys stitching together small details, shades of colors, and a variety of different patterns, creating stories from these moments. “My work is a reflection of my own experiences and thoughts, as well as an attempt to understand the relationships between objects and their characteristics. Watercolor brings a sense of unpredictability and transience to my work, much like the ever-changing nature of life. Each stroke of the brush adds another layer to my artistic vision, creating an ongoing narrative that is part of a larger work. Ultimately, my goal as an artist is to invite others to see the world in a new way, and to appreciate the beauty that exists in the in-between spaces of our lives. Through my art, I hope to create a dialogue about the value of slowing down, being present, and appreciating the world around us.”
The Cheryl Sallee Gallery is located in the Auburn Senior Center at 808 9th Street SE in Auburn.
