Works by Maura Freeman

Auburn Community Center Gallery
Now through 1/4/2023

The City of Auburn and the Auburn Arts Commission are pleased to present the work of Maura Freeman at the Community Center Gallery, on view November 2, 2022 – January 4, 2023

Maura Freeman is a self-taught, Seattle-based photographer and sculptor who transforms natural found-objects into imaginative, unique sculptures which she then photographs. The focus of her art is to honor Mother Nature and the sacred spaces and mysteries she provides all of us. Freeman’s goal is that the viewer will use their imagination to be in nature, no matter where they are standing in the moment.

Freeman says: “The birthplace of my art comes from honoring nature and my imagination. A practice that I find very engaging is called ‘Deep Imagination.’ It is from the place of deep imagination I find ‘Deep Creativity,’ joy, and mischievousness.”

The Auburn Community Center Gallery is located at 910 Ninth Street SE in Auburn.
