Historical Society of Federal Way
Date: Now through 5/2020
Building on a traveling exhibit provided by Legacy Washington, the Historical Society of Federal Way has curated an exhibit of stories and military artifacts from Federal Way service members who fought in World War II, including some harrowing Western Union telegrams to local soldier Paul Young’s family to communicate his status (and later his release) as a prisoner of war.
The exhibit also includes displays that illustrate what life was like on the home front during the war.
The Historical Society of Federal Way is located at 2645 S 312th Street (across from Steel Lake Park) in Federal Way. Open hours are Thursday through Saturday, noon to 4 PM. Admission is free – donations are gratefully accepted.
